Swamp Tomb Locket * Wildflowers * Sterling Silver
Each tomb is entirely handcrafted (No castings here) with solid .925 Sterling Silver sheet metal & wire and has been cut, stamped, soldered, textured, patina’d, and glass very carefully set by hand. All flora inside has been collected by me on my swamp & cemetery adventures in beautiful South Louisiana.
Every element of these swamp tomb lockets has been an absolute labor of love, inspired by the irresistible darkness and history of New Orleans!
These sterling silver lockets display a collection of southern flora that I’ve gathered on my adventures in the enchanting swamps, bayous, & cemeteries of South Louisiana.
Some including swamp sunflowers, moss, & lichen from Manchac Swamp/ Armadillo bones (shaped like tiny coffins) found & collected from Honey Island Swamp/ Purple Mist, Crepe Myrtle petals, and mossy cemetery dirt collected from the neutral grounds of Greenwood Cemetery in the heart of New Orleans. (Nothing is ever taken directly from graves/tombs)
These delicate pieces are intentionally arranged and held in place with a thick .75"x 1" sheet of glass set with sterling silver prongs. Glass edges protected by copper foiling method with lead free solder (a process used in stained glass).
Comes in a jewelry box with a twine bow & gator charm for swampy gift giving.

-Sterling back plate = Approx. 2" long x 1.20" wide (approx. 2.5" long including bail)
-Glass window= 1" x .75"
Chain: Comes with an 18" hypoallergenic stainless steel chain.

Please note:
*The piece has been coated in a special antique wax to help preserve the current patina. However, it still will fade and tarnish over time with wear. Please see our Sterling Silver Care instructions and read over how to keep the shiny parts safe from tarnish!
*It is natural for dried wildflowers & moss to change color and eventually fade over time, it’s just a part of wearing nature, watching it evolve is part of the fun!
*This piece is made with real dried pieces of nature and glass and should NEVER be worn in water, in areas of extreme heat and humidity, or during strenuous activities. Dropping glass cabs will likely result in damage to the piece, so be kind to your jewelry and wear with care!

-Domestic orders will be shipped out within 1-7 business days after payment is received (this does not include Sundays or holidays) using USPS 1st class or USPS Priority with tracking. Orders typically arrive between 3-5 business days after shipped. *(Please double check that the shipping address provided is correct and includes a first and last name. This can cause extreme delays in the arrival time of your package.)

STERLING SILVER CARE
*STORAGE: While not being worn, it's best to store your silver jewelry at room temperature in a dark space, preferably in an airtight bag. Avoid direct sunlight and humidity, do not leave in a car or on a windowsill. If your piece does get wet, dry it off immediately.
*WEARING: -Never submerge your silver jewelry in water. Some tap water may contain sulfur which will discolor the metal. While wearing, avoid contact with hairspray, perfumes, or lotions to prevent damage or discoloration. Never go to bed while wearing your jewelry. Dropping gemstones and glass cabs will likely result in damage to the piece, so be kind to your jewelry and wear with care!
*MAINTENANCE: Sterling Silver WILL tarnish over time, to keep your sterling piece looking new, gently rub with a soft cotton polishing cloth until shine is restored. Doing this regularly will prevent tarnish altogether. The use of liquid chemical jewelry cleaner is highly discouraged.
