Past Collections by Haunted Cypress
Welcome to my portfolio. Here you’ll find pieces from past sold-out collections, some of which I still like to revisit yearly with slight updates to each design.

Maypop Fritillary Collection
This collection was first released in October 2022 and is one of my favorite series to revisit.
Each piece contains a piece of the beautiful Maypop flower (or Passion flower) along with a snippet of a salvaged Gulf Fritillary butterfly wing. As the Maypop flower is the main host plant to the Fritillary caterpillar it makes for the perfect pairing inside of a sterling silver bezel and set in glass.

Cemetery Magnolia Collection
First released in Fall of 2019, this has been an ongoing collection throughout the years. Each piece is handmade with .925 sterling silver with real magnolia petals collected from Greenwood Cemetery in the heart of New Orleans, preserved and pressed in glass.

Cicada Twilight Collection
First released in Fall of 2019, this was one of my very first sterling silver collections.
Every piece in the cicada twilight collection has been made with southern childhood nostalgia in mind, the moment when the sun begins to set and the cicadas come out to sing, signaling the end of a long day of playing in the sun, whether it be catching minnows in the ditch, downing spearmint cold-cups, or playing hide and seek with the neighbor kids, you just know the day is at its end and the time has come to rest!
Some may associate the cicada song with the unforgiving heat of the south, but during the twilight hours as the sun makes way for the moon, these songs help me sense the day’s end and gives me tremendous comfort, reminding me to take it easy, the moon is on its way and it’s time to unwind!
Entirely handmade with genuine .925 sterling silver sheet metal and wire, and feature gems such as rare & firey pieces of Louisiana Opal, Petrified Louisiana Palmwood, or real ethically sourced cicada wings pressed in glass.
Custom hammered cicada stamp-work derived from vintage cicada lithographs.

Le Joie de Vivre Collection
First released in February 2020, right before the worldwide Covid shutdown.
"Le Joie de Vivre" is a phrase I discovered years ago while researching my Cajun heritage that translates to "the joy of living". This phrase immediately ignites images of old video footage of my young grandmother spinning across the dancefloor at a fais do do, & another of myself paddling down my fav bayou during golden hour<3
To me, Le Joie de Vivre is the journey of growth through all the soul fueling aspects of life (like exploration, recreation, community = all the fun stuff!) and it’s learning and moving forward with these things in a way that wakes you up from the mundane & lifts you up with a calming weightlessness that sends you further & further outward, expanding and growing into new experiences & connections. A never-ending spiral of personal growth! An infinity spiral.
I've translated this into this series as a simple sterling silver spiral with three dots at the end, to represent the continuation of growth, with Louisiana Opal & Palmwood at the center.

Swamp Water Collection
This collection was first released in Summer of 2021 and continues to be an ongoing collection that I love to revisit with fresh ideas.
Each piece in this collection was made as a celebration of aquatic Louisiana flora. Some pieces feature real pressed plants such as cattails, moss collected from cypress knees in Honey Island Swamp, and alligatorweed flowers from Manchac. Some highlight plants recreated with sterling silver sheet metal and wire paired with stones reminiscent of swamp water.
All entirely handcrafted with sterling silver sheet metal and wire.

Cypress Heart Wood Collection
Haunted Cypress started out with basic wood carved cypress driftwood pendants in 2015 and evolved into polished cypress heart wood paired with sterling silver and copper metals, first released in Spring of 2023.
This collection often features hand cabbed pieces of cypress heart wood cut from a thick cypress knot driftwood collected from the gator filled banks of Manchac Swamp, Louisiana and then polished with its own resins. Some pieces are still made from regular cypress driftwood and adorned with handmade silver or copper lily pad bails.

New Orleans Swamp Tomb Lockets
This collection grew from my crafty "swamp locket" creations back in 2015. This is my upscale version entirely handcrafted out of sterling silver sheet metal & wire, and was first released in Winter of 2022 and continues to be my favorite collection to revisit and reimagine every single year.
Every element of these swamp tomb lockets has been an absolute labor of love, inspired by the irresistible darkness and history of New Orleans! These sterling silver lockets display a collection of southern flora that I’ve gathered on my adventures in the enchanting swamps, bayous, & cemeteries of South Louisiana.
Some include swamp sunflowers, moss, & lichen from Manchac Swamp/ Armadillo bones (shaped like tiny coffins) found & collected from Honey Island Swamp/ Purple Mist, Crepe Myrtle petals, and mossy cemetery dirt collected from the neutral grounds of Greenwood Cemetery in the heart of New Orleans. (Nothing is ever taken directly from graves/tombs)
These delicate pieces are intentionally arranged and held in place with a thick .75"x 1" sheet of glass set with sterling silver prongs. Glass edges protected by copper foiling method with lead free solder (a process used in stained glass).

Swamp Locket Collection
These swamp lockets were released in Fall of 2019 and were my first attempt at creating sterling silver heirloom pieces that are entirely handcrafted and hold real preserved plants, mosses, and insects that have been collected from my swamp adventures in Louisiana. Each piece has a glass window that is set in a sterling silver bezel which holds the contents inside.
These pieces have since been redesigned with better techniques and evolved into my recent Swamp Tomb series that I revisit regularly.
